Each Production Trade Test consists of an online knowledge test and practical task based assessment and takes around 2 hours to complete. On completion of the tests, both employers and technicians will know exactly where they are with respect to their occupational competency and whether additional coaching or on-the-job training is required.

All of the below Production Trade Tests are exclusively carried out on ASET’s market leading live and fully integrated ABCOL Oil & Gas Production Training Platform, allowing the delegates a live and hands on experience of oil and gas production operations.
Demonstrate how to change over the PSV’s on the separator (V1400) using the correct procedure. (AC3 and AC1 to be online)
Change over the basket filters on AC1 system whilst they are online, checks to include identifying what the differential pressure in on the online filter prior to changing them over. (AC3 and AC1 to be online)
Change over the status of the deluge pumps from parallel mode to series mode using the correct procedure, identifying the main change with flow and pressure. (AC3 and AC4 to be online)
Line walk AC1 system with marked up P&ID’s and checklist
Set up the chemical injection skid at a rate of 40mls per minute. (AC3 and AC1 to be online)
Set up the deluge skid as per the procedure, then activate a deluge release by bringing in two heat / flame detectors. (AC4 and AC1 to be online)
Demonstrate how to start up the metering skid using the correct procedure. (AC3 to be online)
Pre start checks, start up and shut down of the air compressor using the correct procedure. (AC3 to be online)
Maintain steady state conditions within AC1 system by balancing both T-1000 and V-1400 vessels. (AC3 and AC1 to be online)

Set the pressure on the separator (V1400) to 4 bar then increase in 0.5 bar increments until the separator trips. Identify what the actions are using a dedicated cause and effect sheet. (AC3 and AC1 to be online)
Reset all ESDS for AC3 and AC1 in preparation for startup using correct OPG’s.
Set FCV 1003 on AC1 to 25% in manual in preparation for startup, apply an inhibit on F11200 to allow the pump to be reset in preparation for startup. (AC3 and AC1 to be online)
Bring the heat exchangers online to begin the transfer of heat between two different process streams
