Personnel with electrical, instrument or mechanical background within industry who require an understanding in the selection of equipment for hazardous areas and an overview of the ATEX Directive.

Each delegate will undertake a multiple-choice examination paper and practical exercises to demonstrate they have achieved the key learning outcomes detailed above.
Classroom based with practical training to underpin knowledge gained.
City & Guilds 9841 Certificate.
Required Instructor Qualification/Experience
- SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
- Industrial experience with electrical and instrumentation equipment in potentially
- hazardous areas
- A1 or equivalent Workplace Assessor
- City & Guilds approved Training Instructor

The plant area is an excellent training area. Useful for training in a safe and clean environment.
