About this course
Target Audience:
Experienced Electrical Engineers who may be re-appointed as Authorised Person for Low Voltage Systems in the Healthy Care Industry.
Key Learning Outcomes:
• Understanding of operation, maintenance and electrical protection of Low Voltage Electrical Switchboards and Electrical Installations.
• Confidence to perform practical and procedural duties in accordance to the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
• Understand the requirements of the Health Technical Memorandum aligned with BS7671.
• Engage in Safety Documents for situations that may arise on any premises involving operations on an electrical system.
Course Content:
· Safety Regulations HASAWA 1974
· Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
· Health Technical Memorandum’s 06-01:06-02
· Electric Shock, First Aid, Permit to Work Risk Assessment, Method statements
· Isolation Certificate
Assessment:
Each delegate will undertake an online multiple-choice examination paper to demonstrate they have achieved the key learning outcomes detailed above.
Delivery:
This course exclusively uses ASET High Voltage equipment which consists of a full range of HV and LV switchboards which can either be remotely switched through our Electric Control Panel or locally at the boards themselves.
Certification:
City & Guilds 9841 Certificate
Required Instructor Qualifications/ Experience:
• SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in electrical plant and equipment Installations
• A1 or equivalent Workplace Assessor
• City & Guilds approved Training Instructor
Min/Max Delegates:
Course duration and times may vary depending on delegate numbers.
Special Requirements:
Delegates are required to supply their own PPE.
