To introduce participants to the main Legal, Health and Practical Considerations for carrying out manual handling activities.

Definitions of Manual Handling

Legal duties of Employers and Employees

Recognising Manual Handling Hazards

Understand the type of injury caused by poor manual handling activities

Manual Handling Risk Assessments

Control measures to reduce the risk of harm

Understand and practise the best way to handle loads

Delivery

Mixture of classroom and Workshop based training including practise lifts and exercises

Certification – ASET certificate of attendance

Required Instructor Qualification / Experience

Qualified trainer assessor with industrial experience and Health & Safety background

Min/ Max Delegates   4/12
