About this course
Electricians, Supervisors and Electrical Management.
Key Learning Outcomes:
• Identify the legal requirements of the relationship of the regulations with other codes of practice
• Understand, explain and expand on the implications of the Health & Safety Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
• Identify who are specified as competent persons within the regulations

- Safe systems and work activities
- Strength and capability of equipment
- Adverse and hazardous environments
- Insulation, protection and placing of conditions
- Referenced conductors
- Excess current protection
- Working on dead equipment
- Working on or near live equipment
- Workspace, access and lighting
- Competent persons
Each delegate will undertake an open book multiple-choice examination paper to demonstrate they have achieved the key learning outcomes detailed above.
City & Guilds Certificate 9841
Required Instructor Qualification/Experience:
• SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in electrical plant and equipment Installations
• A1 or equivalent Workplace Assessor
• City & Guilds approved Training Instructor
Min/Max Number of Delegates:
4/18, course duration and times may vary depending on delegate numbers.
