About this course

Practical Content 40% Theoretical Content 60%

Target Audience

Electrical personnel who are engaged in the management, inspection and testing of portable electrical equipment.

Course Aims

To provide candidates with the opportunity to develop their abilities in practical testing and the maintenance of reports to the requirements of IEE Codes of Practice.

Course Content

  • Demonstration of the management procedures
  • Testing procedures
  • Completion of test result forms
  • Hands-on testing of portable equipment and evaluation of test results
  • Online exam.

Delivery

The majority of this course is practical hands on training delivered by fully qualified and experienced ex industry personnel using equipment replicated from the onshore and offshore oil and gas working environment. This course is delivered using a range of electrical equipment.

Certification

City & Guilds 2377 Certificate.

Minimum Instructor Qualification/Experience

  • 5 years experience in electrical plant and equipment installation
  • Presentation skills.

Min/Max Number of Delegates Required per Event

4/12.

Course duration and times may vary depending on delegate numbers.

Special Requirements

Delegates are required to read the pre -issued code of practice for in-service Inspection and testing of Electrical equipment
Online exam.
